The Advanced Ultra Low Friction Hull Coating System is a unique environmental-friendly solution, totally biocide-free, based on cross patented technologies with anti-corrosion, and anti-abrasion with anti-stick and anti-friction properties.

The cross patented technologies have unique multi-functional properties that at the same time:

  • provide superior corrosion and abrasion protection improving the durability and overall performance of the vessel for the entire DD cycle;
  • prevent the adhesion of fouling organisms by providing a low-friction, ultra-smooth surface on which organisms have great difficulty in adhering.

RESHAPING THE SHIPPING INDUSTRY

 

By obtaining outstanding hull performance, vessels are able to reduce their CO2 emissions.

The extremely ultra smooth surface of the hull leads to an extremely low Friction Increase Ratio (FIR) while the excellent mechanical and anti-abrasion properties provide a further benefit advantage measured in terms of minor speed loss over the dry dock cycle.

The combination of the low FIR and minor speed loss advantages induces a vessel to save fuels. The fuel saving accounts from 3% to 9% when compared with market standard FRC (Foul Release Coating) and SPC (Self Polishing Coating) products.

The adoption of the Blue Race ™ technology and its green advanced hull coating protection offers the achievement of a high ROI (Return of Investment) by combining efficiency and CO2 reduction during operation.

The no degradation of coating thanks to its chemical and physical property can result to fuel saving up to 23%, as has been observed by third party, in comparison to the performance analysis of the previous dry dock (DD) cycle with biocide traditional coating.

Whether it is leveraging the precision of robotics, drones or the tried-and-true effectiveness of plastic brushes, the advanced ultra low friction hull coating system adapts effortlessly to your chosen cleaning approach.

Regarding the brushes, the coating cleaning process can be supported by Azra Tech certified Polypropylene and Silicon brushes that are able to clean without damaging the coating and remove marine fouling such as algae, tubeworms and light barnacles. The cleaning process can also be conducted alternatively with brushes made by Polyamides, Polyester and other kinds of plastics.
